The bachelor's field of study Percussion Instruments is listed as a specialisation in Percussion Instruments in the bachelor's programme Percussion Instruments and Jazz playing from the academic year 2020/21
The field is guaranteed by the Percussion Instruments Department. Since its inception, a number of experts in this field have already been educated in this field. During its development, the field has reached a format in which theoretical, practical and applied courses are represented and well interconnected. Therefore, the teachers of theoretical courses are well aware of the practical art projects in which students participate and they are thus able to utilise immediate practical knowledge in theoretical teaching.The studies will prepare the graduate of the Percussion Instruments field of study for both the path of independent artistic activity and expert pedagogy; such graduate will be equipped with the necessary skills and theoretical knowledge.
After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:
- perform as a soloist
- become a member of contemporary music chamber ensembles
- hold a position in symphony or chamber orchestras
- teach percussion instruments at art schools and conservatories

The study plan consists of compulsory, elective and optional courses and of compulsory artistic study outputs.
Student musí získat 60 kreditů za každý rok studia a ukončit studium státní závěrečnou zkouškou z vybraných předmětů, obhajobou absolventského výkonu a obhajobou bakalářské práce.
