Payment of the dormitory fee specified in paragraph 1 of the accommodation contract shall be made in cash for the month of October. Starting in November, it shall be made only by direct debit. The landlord is entitled to collect the payment at any time in the period from the 8th to the 15th day of the given month according to the accommodation contract and the accommodated person undertakes to have sufficient funds on the account for this purpose during this period.

How to set up direct debit?

  • Go to your bank and enter the “direct debit authorisation” from your account (or from the account of another payer – e.g. parents) in favour of the JAMU account kept with Komerční banka, a.s., account number 27 – 0493910247/0100 with a monthly limit of at least twice the dormitory fee, withing seven days of signing the accommodation contract.
  • When changing your account number, log in at http://prihlasky.jamu.cz/ and enter your account details and visit the dormitory manager regarding the change.
  • Then your just have to have enough cash in your account to make the direct debit in the period from the 8th to the 15th day of the month.

How does direct debit work?

  • Once a month (in the period from the 8th to the 15th day of the given month), the dormitory sends a direct debit order to the bank.
  • After direct debit by the bank, the payments are assigned to the relevant students in the database.
  • If the payment of the dormitory fee fails for some reason, it is necessary to pay the dormitory fee in cash to the dormitory manager. Payment in cash will be increased by CZK 50. You can find out why the payment failed at your bank.
  • When paying by direct debit, you are guaranteed that your dormitory fee will be paid on time and you will have less to worry about.

Important – payment by direct debit only
A payment order or a standing order cannot be used. The only allowed payment is cashless payment by direct debit. Therefore, do not transfer money for accommodation in dormitories in any other way (standing order, etc.). Such payments will not be accepted.
